FairWays to Leadership Reaches Milestone: 100 Graduated Students

ORLANDO, FL, USA - Nov 16, 2021 - FairWays to Leadership reaches an important milestone of more than 100 graduated students after only one year of operation.

The first cohort of FairWays to Leadership gathered only in the summer of 2020. Four excited students from the University of Central Florida gathered with Dr. Eric Boyd to learn the basics of golf. The training soon took a new approach of teaching students how to utilize the benefits of golf in relation to business at specific leadership moments occurring on the golf course. The 6-week program grew popular amongst the students, with new cohorts being established every few months through the school year.

The basis of the program centered around providing students from diverse and underprivileged backgrounds with new golf skills that they can then use for recreational and/or professional purposes. Students were taught the basics of golf by LPGA professional Jamie Taylor and behind-the-scenes theory and approaches by Dr. Eric Boyd.

Initially, an-Orlando based non-profit, in September FairWays to Leadership partnered with UMass Boston for the 6th cohort, led by LPGA professional Marcia Stevens and Dr. Eric Boyd.

With the huge acceptance of our goals and mission, it is not surprising we are now celebrating a big milestone - the program has over 100 graduated students and continues to grow! Watch the video below to learn more about the program and the experience directly from our alumni.
